Sneh!!

Have you heard of a someone falling in love with a person, he or she has never seen, spoke or even heard of?
Yes, infact we all have... Its just that we don't know or haven't realised about it...

This is some love that gets evolved even before the life comes in to this world. It is a naive, immaculate love that
comes unmasked and unaffected right from within. It is strange though, as the first expression of this love is a loud
cry; it gives the person a sense of deep pleasure as if it was the first overt sign of his/her love.

Day by day, this love for that person mounts and mounts, and the very sight of that person's countenance gives him/her
a feeling of immense security and companionship.

This love lasts for ever....
The love between a mother and her child...

THE FIRST LOVE...

Pravasah!!

Pravasah,

It means Travel,

And what does that mean to you?

Generally people have two basic and important qualities which varies in different proportions with everyone. They are laziness and briskness. Both these qualities, at their peak, are very dangerous and could also be fatal. This could be put to test and also be corrected by one simple way, taking a break from the usual chores and going on traveling.

Traveling is such a nice activity for any individual, where he can release out all the stress that he/she had had it within oneself. Traveling gives you a chance to visit people, places and discover things that you would have never imagined of.

Not necessarily you would have to go to Brazilian mountain regions or the Alps to find out things like these, but any travel you do, be it a short distance or a long trip, there will be always something new, which could be a lesson that you have learned in your life, or a tap on your shoulder to tell you that you’re doing great, keep up the good work.

Unfortunately one cannot feel this unless he knows the reason why he’s traveling. There are many types of travel that are done in this world. Religious voyages, adventurous voyages or casual voyages to name a few. But out of all these, the one voyage that makes you feel complete is the one that you should make out of the trip, and there is no such voyage that will not give you this feel, its how much you can take from it.

The qualities of laziness and briskness do a very vital role in the traveling domain, it could break up your plan into pieces if either of this is not been controlled. Traveling will cure the above mentioned qualities; or rather it can be mentioned as diseases, and that’s the reason why traveling can be equivalent to taking medicines.

The reason for mentioning traveling as a cure for some diseases, is that it forces a man to change his qualities and accept to any circumstance or a scenario, and thus changing the qualities of a man, or rather can be specific as mentioning traveling a man’s character. So subsequently when a man changes, it means he gets cured of the abilities, and makes him a new and charged up person, the moment he comes back home after his break for travel.

So on the whole, the message to be conveyed is: take a break, enjoy life, feel the world, forget everything official, relax your mind, and sleep peacefully.

Get cured; Pack you bag!!!

Dharana!!

Dharana!!

What does it mean?

Concentration,

And the following lines tell you what exactly it means and its necessity...

In order to perform a task or an activity well, it is necessary that the entire mind should be engaged upon that activity. To do anything well one must do only that thing at that time. And this is true w.r.t the action of the mind. The focusing of the entire power of the mind upon one thing is commonly known as concentration or "the power of attention".

This power of concentrating the entire mind upon the task in hand, is very essential, and that no great degree of mental power can ever be gained without it (concentration). In order to do anything with the mind, one must wish or must want to do it.

And this choice or decision to do something is called 'the will'. The power to choose quickly & decisively and to act vigorously upon the choice is a very rare thing. One who has this power is said to have a strong will (power).

The question of will power and its development is most important. The difference between strong men and weak men, or between honored and the dishonored, or even simpler, between the master and his servants, is the 'will power'. A man of strong will is sure to succeed even if his talents(abilities) are mediocre; but a man of weak will, no matter what his talents are, is not as equally sure to succeed as the former.

The will, like any other mental ability, can be highly developed by training and practical exercises, which will put it in its proper place and also at the right time when anything is needed.

So ultimately, Concentration and Will Power are directly or indirectly related to each other, and if utilised in the best possible way, they'll take you places...!!!

Kshamaapan!!

Kshamaapan!!

It means forgiveness...

Now, what does that mean?

Forgiveness is to let go off... But that doesn't happen just like that. People forgive, only after accepting that one has made a mistake, make him feel that he has made a mistake, and if possible make him ask for forgiveness before actually forgiving him. This is almost like giving a second chance, but actually not. As forgiving itself is for giving a second chance. But what happens is that, we don't give a second chance out of understanding the person, but to make ourselves feel on top.

How and when can we forgive someone? Forgiving is in one way synonymous to trust. This is the beauty of it.
The very moment you forgive someone, it means that you trust him, and when the other person realises that he has been forgiven based on the trust, he fears to do the same mistake again, that is why, forgiving is a very difficult trait that can be owned by anyone. Since this is not how people are forgiven in general, the very value of it is degraded to such an extent that it has been given a very little value.

So ultimately if there is no trust , there isn't any forgiving...

My idol, the intellectual film-maker, Padmasri Kamal Hassan quoted in one of his movies, that forgiving is humane, to ask for forgiveness is Godly... But again, this is true only if the value of forgiveness is understood, and is it this way that we ask for forgiveness when we make a mistake? No! And in what context do we ask for forgiveness? To escape the situation, out of fear of being punished, etc. So where is the trust coming in to picture, and how can it be accepted. This is why it doesn't happen easily.

So forgiveness has no value if there isn't a pinch of trust put in it, from both ends, the giver and the receiver...

So I say, Kshmaapan = TRUST!!!

Friend...

Now what do you mean by that word? We all know the saying that goes: 'A friend in need is a friend indeed', but do we understand the real meaning in it?
A friend is someone who you can talk to, who you can give in to. It is only in friendship that you cannot find a 'give and take' policy. Why? Why is this friend so special? Why is that one person the one you feel comfortable with? Why is it that only with that person can you be so free and open about anything and everything under the sky, which you cannot be even with your parents? Simple, 'cos he's your friend. You don't expect anything from him, yet he gives you a lot. Your friend need not understand you when you are sober or happy... Any monkey and donkey can do that... But a friend alone can give you a piece of his mind so that you have a peace of your mind.
So, now, who is a friend? He's not your supporter when your need support, he's not a counselor when your done with your life, he's not your better-half to understand your pain, but he's someone who can do all this and more than that.
Just list your friends and look at what they have done for you. There might be a lot of things that they would've done, but try figuring out why they did that and how it all started? You'll know who's your friend!

If I'm here now, in this place and position of my life, a greater part goes to my friend.

Of course it is your parents who show the path, but it is your friend who taught you lessons and still does it, that you are here. Everything that your doing to run the show of your life and the way your life is running, is because of your friend. Good or bad, he's always there. As a special person of mine always says, physically present or virtually, he's always there for you, and makes your show run to packed houses.

Feel great to write so much of stupid words about a friend through a blog, which is my first, please welcome me into the blogging world and encourage me to write more stupid words on everything possible.

Hare Krishna,
Chethan G Satheesh.
